A Floral Collaboration Celebration...

Well hello.

How are you? I'm back in the studio after a trip to California to meet my new grand daughter! She's only a month old and is so darn sweet and full of personality already.

I'm excited to share with you the first painting in my new floral series. I've been blessed to be able to collaborate with the stunning Amy with Victorian Gardens out of Kansas City, MO. She creates the most beautiul free form gardens design style, very natural and free flowing, which is perfect for this bohemian painter! I've looked for so long to find the right floral designer to connect with to use as inspiration, and when I saw Amy's florals, I was blown away!

Many of you know in my past life I too was a florist and floral designer. I spent 16 years running mulitple flower shops in Laguna Beach, CA and in Oregon and was a premire wedding planner. I can paint flowers from memory, but it's more fun when you have a beautiful bouquet to look at.

So tonight I'm celebrating my first painting using Amy's art as my inspiration. I can't wait to see what comes from this new body of work, but I know it's going to be speical. As an artist, finding the right inspiration is half the battle, and I'm one lucky painter to have such beauty to inspire me.

Can I admit that I'm completely in love with this painting? It's even prettier in person.

In the time I took to write this post, the painting sold. But please follow me on Instagram to be the first to know when I'm working on a new one and when it goes up for sale. I appreciate those of you who are collecting my art. I have collectors! And I love each and every one of you. It's pretty special to make a living doing what I love so deeply and I couldn't do it without those of you who follow along and purchase my artwork. I truly am humbled.
