Bayeaux, France 11x14 oil on canvas board

I think I'm falling in love with painting landscapes. Buildings are a bit harder than I thought they would be but anything worth learning is difficult, right?

This is another painting from a collection of photos from my sister's trip to Europe. There are many castles yet for me to attempt but currently I'm working on a cow from the dairy we visit weekly. I've stored so many photos to be painted, I'm just not sure where all the time will come from to get to them all. Artist problems...

We are having a wonderful August. The nights and mornings are slightly chilly, allowing me to wrap up in a blanket on the porch in the mornings and for us to enjoy the fireplace at night. This week is going to be a busy one as we have a bit of demo going on down at the gallery...expanding our teaching classroom already! My dear artist friend Marie is also flying in this week to teach a class at the gallery on Saturday night and spend the weekend with us during the BBQ & Eclipse Festival. I'll share some photos on IG if you follow me there. Back to my cow painting - ciao!
